Ali Sweeney better get a nomination. It's a shame she's never been nominated before during her 20 year tenure. I hope she wins. |

Most of these winners just make me want to hurt myself. Aside from the youngers and Blake Berris. The rest is straight trash. |

I'm really pulling for Blake Berris. Loved, hated of didn't give a shit about him or the storyline, he put in some really great performances through the entire thing, IMO. Camilla did a fine job as well. I'd be happy with those two being nominated and Blake for the win please. Other than that, I'm good. |

Were they fired before the voting ended? Fired writers = automatic win. |

It's like an alternate universe exists where everyone thinks DAYS has the best writing team when they so clearly don't. |

I'm rooting for Ali Sweeney to finally get a nom and a win this year. I think her material was pretty good....I wonder what she submitted if the morgue scenes or some part of the scenes of Ej's fake dream or the Nick debacle....Blake should be able to run away this year with a win...and I just can't with the writing prediction...for real? Yeah, I hope not. |

No. No. No. The Emmys credibility is already getting lower and lower by the year. Turning it into a joke Lifetime Achievement Award for a barely D-List celebrity moving on from soaps would be a disgrace. |

I am going to call it right now before the nominations come out...today's "shocker" is Alison Sweeney is snubbed AGAIN in Lead Actress. I also sadly think Blake Berris is snubbed as well. And I hope DAYS missed out on ALL of the big 3 (Drama Series, Writing, Directing) for nominations. |

Days won't miss out on the big 3 but I doubt they'll get a directing nomination. I hope you're right about Ali and wrong about Blake. I expect Days to do well in the youngers and Martsolf to get a nom. I think Ali will too. I'm cheering for Peggy to keep Alison from the nomination. That would be glorious. |

Can you imagine the meltdown if Peggy McCay is nominated over Alison Sweeney....I personally feel McCay has a better tape than Alison Sweeney...so I would not be mad....but OMG that would be hilarious...and it would truly be an intentional slam from the industry towards Alison Sweeney. |

I agree. I really hope Blake wins. I'm still shocked he wasn't even nominated last year. |

That's really my main hope for today. I don't have people to back like Eileen Davidson this year. And I don't see a reel that is so unbelievable that I am compelled to push for like Jane Elliot's last year. I think for the most part all of the soaps that I watched kinda sucked all year, but had a couple moments. I still have my favorites in general like Blake Berris, Jason Thompson, Maura West, among others...but I'm not stressing over anyway this year. Maura West was probably the best actor on soaps all year and she already has her Emmys so I will just roll my eyes and be over it if she doesn't get a win. Days seemingly stacked the deck in Alison's favor so if she doesn't even get a nod then I'm going to be laughing forever. |

I will sorta feel bad for Sweeney is she is not nominated and McCay is...because then it is truly like a slap in the face. If she just missed a nom and DAYS is not nominated in Lead Actress at all...then I feel like it would be LESS of a slam. I really don't think DAYS deserves to have anyone nominated in Lead Actress...at least not the two pre-nominated. We will see if DAYS blatant campaigning and Sweeney's directing stint at GH gets her enough votes to get in. |
